jPortable Launcher allows you to easily run Java JARs using the Java Virtual Machine installed on your portableapps.moviesx.org-enabled device using jdkPortable. It can be installed into the portableapps.moviesx.org Menu where, when it is run, it will prompt you to select a JAR file to run. It can also be run directly by dragging and dropping a JAR file onto the JavaPortableLauncher.exe file. The launcher will automatically use the appropriate version of Java on both 32-bit and 64-bit machines and can be configured to utilize a specific one if desired.

jPortable Launcher does not portablize the settings of all your Java programs within JAR files. Some JAR apps will either store their settings alongside the JAR or provide an option to store the settings portably. Other JAR apps will look to the .home setting and store data there. The launcher configures these to use your portable device for settings storage.

Additional options can be specified for specific jar files by placing a specifically named INI file within the same directory as the jar file. An example configuration file is included in the jPortableLauncher\Other\Source directory called thenameofthe.jar.portable.ini
